october 1 snow update

Get Ready, Tahoe!

It’s officially October — and that means we’re on the final countdown to snow season here in South Lake Tahoe! With chilly mornings setting in and early storms on the radar, our team is already in full prep mode.
Here’s everything you need to know this month to stay ahead of the snow:

First Storm of the Season?

Tahoe weather is anything but predictable — and we’ve had measurable snowfall as early as mid-October in recent years. That’s why our crews are already:
Finalizing plow routes
Inspecting and staging equipment
Prepping materials and fuel reserves
Testing our GPS tracking systems
Bottom line: We’ll be ready before the first flake falls — will you?

Snow Stake Installation

We’re currently planning on installing snow stakes for all seasonal clients later this month. Stakes help our drivers plow safely and avoid damaging your property — especially when heavy snow hides the edges of driveways, curbs, or landscaping.
If you’re signed up, you’ll receive an email update when staking is scheduled. If you’re not signed up yet but would like to get on one of our routes, ask us for a free quote!

Is Your Property Winter-Ready?

Here’s a quick checklist to make sure your home or business is prepped for the upcoming colder weather.

Store Seasonal Items

Be sure your summer seasonal items are stored away or covered to preserve them for next year.

Disconnect Hoses

Don’t make the expensive mistake of leaving a host connected to your home over the winter! Changing temperatures can cause damage to your plumbing.

Set Your Thermostat

You never know how soon the first freezing night can happen! Prevent your plumbing from freezing by keeping your thermostat set.
